Transgenic Platform Studies
Genes: Delivery (Transgene Infection), Design in Silico, Sequencing (Print to Flesh), Biomedia Studies
Currently, it is popular to do gene editing or genetic modification with CrispR/cas9. CrispR is a RNA based technology used for infecting the genome of a newly fertilized egg. It is more targeted than past methods of infecting an organism’s genome. But CrispR is not perfect it just causes less sickness, death, cancer and metabolic confusion than before. This is progress.
The software platforms i saw used to choose genes, to copy their sequence and to infect the genome of other organisms you are altering are as follows: Geneios, Ensembl, Snapgene, Benchling
benchling.com, Free, Open Source, Online CRISPR software:
“In popular science articles, CrispR is often referred to as game-changingly refined, powerfully accurate, perfectly targeted. Actually, off target mutation do occur very often. They are somewhat predictable. You can screen in mutants that have inserted the gene in the place in the genome that it was supposed to land. But, there are often other places that the gene lands and the software tries to minimize the dangerous or lethal off target mutation. So, CrispR is safer but not in a robust perfection and or powerfully safe way.”
