PT// A paisagem é um território/lugar físico e espiritual. O projeto Melting Landscapes nasce da exploração da relação e intersecção entre Arte e Ciência a ser desenvolvida na Residência Artística Ectopia Laboratório de Arte Experimental em Lisboa.
Através dos meios proporcionados pela residência, pretendo levar a cabo uma investigação que explora as reações químicas no metal e os vários efeitos que se podem obter. Pretendo criar, após longa experimentação dos materiais, cerca de 4 a 6 peças que combinem o meu trabalho têxtil com o metal, colocando em diálogo e confronto a forma, o movimento e a expressão. De forma a repensar a relação da paisagem têxtil com o espaço, com o tempo e com o espectador, pretende-se criar uma instalação com estes objectos suspensos no espaço. Como ação/reação ao tempo e ao espaço, a vivência da paisagem, a experiência do “aqui e agora” através da experimentação é o diálogo que se dá no vazio da cena, construindo uma comunicação visual e física entre o acontecimento e o espectador através de uma escrita corporal que o torna sobretudo presença.
EN// The landscape is a physical and spiritual territory/place. The Melting Landscapes project is born from the exploration of the relationship and intersection between Art and Science to be developed in the Ectopia Art Residency/Laboratory of Experimental Art in Lisbon.
Through the means provided by the residency, I intend to carry out an investigation that explores chemical reactions in metal and the various effects that can be obtained. My intention is to create, after long experimentation of the materials, about 4 to 6 pieces that combine my textile work with metal, putting in dialogue and confrontation the form, the movement and the expression. In order to rethink the relationship of the textile landscape with space, with time and with the viewer, this is with the aim of creating an installation with these objects suspended in space. As an action/ reaction to time and space, the experience of the landscape, the experience of the «here and now» through experimentation is the dialogue that takes place in the void of the scene, building a visual and physical communication between the event and the spectator through a corporal writing that makes it mainly presence.

PT// Ânia Pais nasceu nos Açores, Portugal, em 1998. Licenciou-se em Pintura pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade de Lisboa em 2020, estando actualmente a frequentar um mestrado na mesma área. Ao longo do seu percurso académico, sempre demonstrou grande interesse pelo mundo da arte, tendo como principal foco a performance, a representação, a pintura, o desenho e a fotografia. Throughout his academic career, she has always shown great interest in the world of art, with the main focus on performance, representation, painting, drawing and photography.
